Those with weapons that might not be as ideal should back up those attacking teammates by ensuring they don’t get impeded or swarmed by minor Salmonids while they’re focusing on the boss. As such, you’ll want to take the initiative when facing a boss that’s more susceptible to your weapon. Usually, these weapons vary in range and firing rate, with some weapons being great against some bosses and not so great against others. Play to your strengths, cover for weaknesses: Salmon Run provides you with four random weapons that get rotated between team members during each round. If your entire team is going all out, then you might consider sacrificing some of the glory and hang back a bit so you can quickly revive your teammates when they wipe. I don't know how many times I've seen my groups doing really well, only for us to suddenly fall within seconds of each other and have a team wipe from an unexpected double boss attack and huge swarm. What you really want to get, however, are the ginormous Golden Eggs, which is what Grizzco desires. Splatting Salmonids typically nets you a barrage of Power Eggs, which look like bigger versions of that salmon roe you typically find in “ikura” sushi.
